Packing Tips - How to Pack a Bathroom
The biggest challenge when packing a bathroom before moving, is deciding which bathroom items you are going to give away or throw-out and which items you are going to pack. The more you can discard before you start packing your bathroom, the less expensive your move will be and the more organized you will be when unpacking.
- Moving Box Delivery recommends throwing out any partially used soaps, shampoos or anything that could spill or melt in your moving boxes.
- Also, Moving Box Delivery recommends that you go through your bathrooms and see if there are products with expired expiration dates, or products that are rusted and old. Many people find that they didn’t realize how many old razors, partially used soap and shampoo bottles that were past their recommended expiration date that they find. There is no need to move these items. Also it will be easier to be organized when you move into your new home and start unpacking your belongings into your new bathrooms.

Moving Box Delivery recommends that you pack your expensive, newer towels in one moving box, and then use any older, less valuable towels as added packing support for other items you are packing in our home. Towels are wonderful for supplying extra protection for your belongins in any room.
Packing Towels Tips
1. Separate your towels into two categories. Nice towels that you will pack separately and older towels that you can use as added packing material for other valuable belongings.
2. Using the All Purpose Moving Box stack your towels in the box.
3. If you are taking your shower rod with you, wrap in packing paper and place between your towels.
Never use Old Boxes or Grocery Store Boxes to Store or Move Towels
Moving Box Delivery does not recommend that you pack towels inside of moving boxes that you had stored in your garage or that was found in the dump of a grocery store. Many of these boxes have pesticides inside of them and can also have really tiny, sometimes microscopic insects or bacteria. You don’t want this on your towels that your family uses every day.
Moving Box Delivery recommends that you are very careful packing cleaning supplies. It is important to decide which cleaning supplies you will want to pack, and which ones you will donate to a charity. It is not advisable to pack and move “open” cleaning products.
Hazardous Cleaning Products to Move
If you are hiring a professional mover, there are certain cleaning items that professional movers are not able to legally pack or move. This is for your protection and the protection of the movers, as some cleaning products can have severe adverse results when being moved. Some cleaning products when moved around can even become flammable.
Cleaning Products that Moving Companies By Federal Law, and/or using their own protective policies can not transport.
- Ammonia
- Liquid Bleach
Donate Open Cleaning Products that Can Not Be Completely Closed to A Charity
1. If one of your cleaning products spills in your moving box, it can make a complete mess, and potentially damage valuable items. Therefore, unless you can securely seal cleaning products before packing, it is best to donate all partially used cleaning supplies to a charity before moving. Many charities need cleaning products and would appreciate the donation. You can place them in an open box and drive them to the charity.
2. Use your partially opened cleaning supplies to clean the home you are moving out of before inspection.
Moving Box Delivery recommends that you fully clean your shower curtain before you pack it. It would seem that a shower curtain would be clean, as people use soap and shampoo in it each day. The reality is, shower curtains can quickly become filled with scum and dirt that is not good to pack or move into your new home.
How to Clean a Shower Curtain Before Moving
1. Take your shower curtain down, remove all the hooks and the rings.
2. Place your shower curtain in your washing machine with COLD WATER. Put 3/4 cup of baking soda in your washing machine, and you will be amazed how well it cleans your shower curtain.
3. Do not place in the dryer. Simply hang back up to dry, or place in the sun.
Packing a Shower Curtain
Wash your shower curtain before you pack it. Fully dry it out. A slightly damp shower curtain can quickly grow mold
