Bubble Wrap
Dimensions: 12" Wide x 80 Feet Long- (3/16") bubble size
Bubble wrap is a great all use packing material. The small bubbles provide the strongest, most flexible protection available in the industry.
Why Is Small Bubble Wrap So Widely Recommended?
Smaller bubbles provide the most protection from damages, they are the strongest size to use, and the flexibility of the product makes it easy to wrap around anything.
In addition, the small size takes up the least amount of room in your cartons so you don't need to use as many moving boxes. This saves you money. You will also save money by using crumpled packing paper to fill up your boxes versus over wrapping each item.
Good Rule of Thumb: If you only use one size of bubble, the 3/16 size can work well with almost anything. It's flexible, pliable and offers the most protection.
TIP: Be sure to place the bubble side around your belonging and the flat side away from the item you are packing.
What Types of Things Should I Use Bubble Wrap For?
1. Fragile glass items
Use this protective cushioning for items such pottery, vases, figurines, pitchers, cyrstal pieces, art and/or glass sculptures.
2. Art
If you need to protect art, this is a great supply to use. It is wonderful for wraping around the glass portion of your art before placing in a frame box. It helps prevent scratching of the glass frames.
TIP: Line the bottom of frame boxes before placing your art inside. It creates a cushion to prevent shocks.
3. Photo Frames
If you have some treasured photos in beautiful frames, use this protective cushioning to help prevent scratching of the glass. Be sure to fill box with packing paper too so nothing moves inside of the cardboard boxes.
Bubble Wrap Should Not Be Used For:
1. Long term storage
The air inside of the bubbles can deflate over time with heavy weight on it. Therefore, it is not recommended to use during long term storage of a year or longer.
2. Electronics
Do not wrap electronics with this moving supply. Other materials such as packing paper are much better to use.
FYI: There is electronic bubble wrap called "anti static bubble," which is pink in color. (We do not sell.) Although this speciality item does prevent some of the static energy that can damage electronics, it is not 100%. Other moving supplies have no static and are better used such as; foam or packing paper.
3. Kitchen Dishes and Glass Items
Professionals pack kitchen items with packing paper. It is faster, easier and offers more protection than any other option.
4. Finished Woods
The plastic on this moving supply can leave mater marks on specialty finished woods. Be sure to wrap packing paper first before placing any wrap on highly finshed woods.
